MBTA Overnight/Weekend Commuter Rail Parking

The MBTA website has very little information about parking at commuter
rail stations, and any phone numbers about parking just go to voice
jail. Is overnight/weekend parking available at Commuter Rail
stations? I know the combination CR/Red Line stations (e.g.: Quincy
Adams) offer overnight parking, but what about the CR only stations?
I'm particularly interested in the Middleborough/Lakeville station.
The MBTA website says there are 771 spaces and the rate is $2.00, but
that's all it says. Nothing about overnight or multiple days.
Specifically, is it possible to park there from Friday evening to
Sunday evening? Thanks in advance for any advice or alternatives!

I just used the Bradford station yesterday, where the sign said explicitly
that overnight parking is prohibited. They charge the $2.00 seven days a
week. While other stations might allow weekend overnight parking if they
don't charge the fee on weekends, I'm only trying to say that it was easy
to tell by going to the station and reading all the signage.

For the South Shore, the Route 128 station would be a good bet.

I've looked for this around the north side of Boston; mostly not, but
most of them are of the "put the money in the slot" variety and a single
overnight will just get you a penalty envelope from the collectors on the
second day. Around here (Wilmington) I often see cars parked overnight
(or at least way, way after the last train) and haven't noticed any
ticketing or towing, but you're at least risking it, and some places are
likely more agressive. (Some stations are free on weekends, which
generally seems like a better bet if you want to give it a shot.)

Anderson/Woburn is an exception and *does* have long-term parking, but
while the daily commuter rail parking is $2, the overnight parking is run
by Massport and is $11/day!

(Oh, hey, Alewife is finally allowing overnight parking again, too.)

Other systems allow overnight parking. Some merely require you to
prepay for the number of days you want. Others require you to call
in, but they provide a phone number at the station.

Note that different station lots may be operated by different
entities, not necessarily the MBTA.

Perhaps you could check at the station payslot to see if there's any
phone number or instructions. At the worst, you could write them a
note with your inquiry and put it in the slot.

It may be more desirable for car security to leave it in a private lot
nearby, even if that is more costly.

I cant see you getting towed for the weekend. I have seen one car
towed, but they had 4 payment envelopes on their window. I'm almost
certain I've seen signage mentioning free weekend parking. Its a safe
bet that you'd be ok, but have the number above and a taxi company in
your cell - just in case.

That's the phone number I tried, but it just goes to voice jail. Their
website has absolutely no useful information about any of the MBTA
parking lots the company "manages". It's such a joke; why do they even
bother to list this information when all it does is waste our time?
