Hi Viatologists,
Woo hoo! You've recently seen our reveal of road photos and videos
from Africa. Living up to its name, the Worldwide Transportation
Library (WWTL) now covers all continents.
We're proud to reach this milestone after 12 years of hard work. Our
full catalog of photographs may be found here:
http://wwtl.info/photo-landing.html
Stretching from the U.S. to PerĂº. . . to Austria to Morocco to
Australia to Japan. . . our mission has been to capture roadside
videos and photographs along the way. We picked up some railroad
photos too! And what a ride it has been!
As you may imagine, our underlying philosophy is to have people extend
beyond the borders of their own culture and experience what's truly a
commonality amongst all people of this planet: transportation
systems! When you experience other cultures and immerse yourself in
them, you see how flexible human thought is and how much can be
accomplished in understanding this. The ways in which different
cultures connect people, goods and service to one another--though
different--certainly don't qualify as right or wrong simply because
one isn't the same as the other. To adopt a rigid view of how roads
should be (or should be perceived) is as limited as saying McDonalds
is the definition of food.
To all who have stopped by and visited over the years: thank you,
grazie, gracias, danke, merci!
Reaching this milestone today has been a pleasure, and we look forward
to serving you w/ more content at the WWTL!
Cheers,
Carl Rogers
