The (Dutch) Bicycle Thief

Today is Dutch week, I guess. Things that shouldn't be happening in
"Paradise" --bicycle paradise-- and are still plaguing society.

This video is a little of a mind game, where things are not what they
are appear to be...

Anyway, now that I got your attention, I suggest the punishment for
stealing a bike should be mandatory... 5 years jail sentence. Sorry, I
have no patience for thieves even if they are women, Dutch or
whatever.

Reality is bicycle theft is pandemic in the Netherlands, but not in
Japan.

We are comparing pears and apples, but the Japanese seem to be happy
with very little crime.

Even women feel freer:

"Japan has a relatively low crime rate. Women can feel free, in
general, to walk at night without fear of being attacked."
